The president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, as part of the institutional trip to China undertaken yesterday, accompanied by Enrique Riquelme, executive president of Coxabengoa, attended the signing of the Strategic Agreement between Hygreen Energy and the Andalusian multinational for the development of a European industrial platform that will manufacture and supply hydrogen production systems from Andalusia.
The agreement, which has been in operation for over a year, and in which the Junta de Andalucía has played a crucial role, is an important step in the commitment of the Andalusian company to sustainable development based on the use of renewable energies and green hydrogen.
Hygreen Energy, is a global innovative company leader in the design and manufacture of hydrogen production systems, using electrolyser technology. With twenty years of experience in the sector, more than 300 projects materialized and a manufacturing capacity of 5GW, Hygreen Energy is looking for in Coxabengoa the European strategic partner to expand its business internationally, Building on its position and leadership in renewable technologies.
The agreement provides for the manufacture and integration of components and products in Andalusia, taking advantage of the operational and technological capabilities that Coxabengoa has in the region, in which it plans to invest heavily in R & D and production facilities to make them a reality.

Coxabengoa’s Energy division (Coxenergy) has been responsible for developing and materializing this agreement, which strengthens its position as an international leader in the provision of technological solutions in the renewable energy sectors.
